There are different types of Kinsects and levels to upgrading them. I’m going to help by explaining the upgrade process, as well as the different types of kinsects you can make and what they do.

Speed Kinsects - The different types of Speed Kinsects, their stats, and what skills they give.
How to Upgrade Kinsects
Now Kinsects are upgraded separately from the Insect Glaive. You also don’t need to worry about upgrade materials lowering a stat while raising another. Kinsects are still bound to each Insect Glaive, so keep that in mind.
Select the Insect Glaive you want, then choose Feed Insect. Select the Jelly you want, either Power, Heavy, or Speed. Select the Ambrosia if you want to add elemental damage.
When you upgrade either Power, Weight, or Speed enough, the level will increase. When you level up any of these stats 3 times, you can level up the Kinsect.
If you have Larval Extract, you can combine it with the Jelly of your choice to get a “+” version. This will increase the stat by a lot more so you won’t need as many Jellies to level up.
Each Kinsect needs a certain amount in 1 or more of the stats before the upgrade is available.
The base kinsect is always 1 of 2 types:
Culldrone for cutting type Insect Glaives Mauldrone for blunt type Insect Glaives
Balanced Kinsect
There is only 1 upgraded balanced Kinsect, which is 1 of the best final Kinsects in the game.
Elscarad/Arginesse
Requirements: Level 6 Kinsect Level 6 Power Level 6 Weight Level 6 Speed Stats: +5% All Stats Skills: All 3 Extract Up - +50% Duration Wide Range - Extracts count for all Insect Glaive Users in the hunt. Green will also heal everyone regardless of weapon used.

Requirements: Level 3 Kinsect Level 3 Power Stats: +10% Power -10% Weight Reduced Flying Distance Skills: Red Extract Up - +10 Attack
Monarch Alucanid/Carnage Beetle
Requirements: Level 6 Kinsect Level 10 Power Stats: +20% Power 30% Reduced Charge Time -10% Weight Reduced Flying Distance Skills: Red Extract Up - +15 Attack Red Duration Up - +20% Duration
Empresswing/Bonnetfile
Requirements: Level 6 Kinsect Level 3 Power Level 5 Weight Level 4 Speed Stats: +20% Power -10% Weight Reduced Flying Distance Skills: Red Extract Up - +10 Attack Red Duration Up - +40% Duration
