Though the Firelantern locations are actually marked on your in-game map, this Monster Hunter Rise guide will show you exactly where to find them if you’d like to use this guide as a companion while playing.
Monster Hunter Rise Firelantern Locations
If this is your first Monster Hunter Rise quest, the in-game map for the Shrine Ruins won’t be filled out yet. You’ll have to traverse the area to reveal the map, which you should do first to make things easier. The area is gorgeous, and there are plenty of crafting resources and materials to collect while you’re out there.
As mentioned, the Firelantern locations are already marked with green dots on your in-game map. Most of the Firelanterns are located in the northern portion of the map; one can be found in the middle right; and two can be found in the southern portion.
I had picked the one to the southeast up before taking the picture to the right, so the marker is a little different from the others. It’s a larger green circle indicating the Firelantern has already been found.
You won’t actually have to go to every spot to get all eight Firelanterns, as each node gives varying amounts of the item. That said, you will have to familiarize yourself with using the Wirebug to get to certain spots to gather the plants. Don’t be afraid to spam the Wirebug as best you can, either. Sometimes it’s just the easy, janky way to get where you’re going.
Be sure to gather at any honey, bonepiles, and mining outcrops you find as you look for Firelanterns to get yourself started stockpiling materials for equipment and potions.
That’s it for how to find Firelanterns in Monster Hunter Rise. The process is very similar to finding Wisplanterns. Now that you have 10 in your inventory, you can complete the Roly-Poly village quest and continue your journey! Keep an eye on GameSkinny as we grow our Monster Hunter Rise guides!
