Microsoft has today released a nice update to its Outlook application on iOS. The update makes notable improvements to the Apple Watch application for Outlook, including new complications and more. Microsoft says Outlook on Apple Watch should now be much snappier than before, with the company touting that it is now “lightning fast.” There are also new complications for the Apple Watch Series 4, which means you can take full advantage of the Infograph and Infograph Modular watch faces....

Microsoft has released a new toolkit to help iOS developers write applications for Apple’s mobile platform that also play nice with cloud Windows, also known as Windows Azure. The Windows maker says the toolkit is available for its own Windows Phone platform as well, adding that a version for Android is due next month. The iOS tookit facilitates the creation of both iPhone and iPad apps developed using Objective-C and XCode....

Microsoft released an entire suite of MSN apps for iOS today, which includes MSN News, Money, Health & Fitness, Food & Drink, and Sports. A Weather app has also been announced, but hasn’t yet been released for iOS. It’s scheduled to arrive later this year. The Health and Fitness app allows users to track their diet and fitness goals, keep track of health-related news, view an interactive map of the human body, and sync your personal data to HealthKit....

As explained by Hugo Barra this morning in a + post, Microsoft is working on a build of ndows 10 specifically for Xiaomi’s Mi 4 phone. It won’t run on top of Android or offer a dual-boot option, but a small number of power users from the Xiaomi Forums in China can choose to put ndows 10 on this one device. Microsoft is merely piggybacking off of the Chinese OEM’s massive user base overseas to test out ndows 10 for phones in a market it hasn’t managed to penetrate yet....

Verizon iPhone has boosted the iOS platform share, according to the latest Mobile Mix report from Millennial Media, which is the largest independent mobile network. Analyzing the top mobile devices and operating system, they found out that Verizon iPhone accounted for 8.2 percent of iPhone impressions last month, which helped grew the iOS platform share 11 percent on a month-over-month basis. Tablets had 17 percent of the total device impression share versus 64 percent for smartphones and 19 percent for feature phones....

The first sales figures obtained by Mobile for the 3G iPhone reveal that Apple is on course to breeze by this milestone. Its sales have consistently hovered at around 4-7% of the market. What is amazing about this feat is that it has been achieved on the back of a single product, sold at a premium price on terms dictated by the manufacturer. Researchers from Australia tracked the rate of brain cancer in the country’s population from 1982 to 2013. They discovered that there was no statistical proof abiding the idea using a mobile phone can cause cancer. The results of the study conducted for thirty year period showed a little increase in brain cancer among men but a stable rate among women. All diagnoses of cancer are recorded and this permitted the team to match the data besides growing mobile phone usage since 1987....

Powershell has been a part of Windows systems for 10 years(November 14, 2006 ). On 18th August Microsoft announced on their blog that they have brought Powershell to Mac OSX and Linux.
