According to a report form The Verge, Microsoft is about to for the first time ever release a new OneNote app for Mac users. The popular note taking and productivity app was for most of its 10 year life available to only Windows users and only in recent years became available for iOS and Android devices. Data from App Annie suggests that global mobile app revenue will hit $50B this year, and $101B by 2020. Total annual downloads will rise from 111B last year to 284B by 2020. Microsoft has announced that it has launched new Defender for Containers and Microsoft 365 Defender solutions for detecting and remediating Apache Log4j vulnerabilities. In October 2021, St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Josh Renaud published a story documenting the exposure of Social Security numbers belonging to teachers, administrators, and counselors caused by security flaws in the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s website. Over 100,000 SSNs were reportedly exposed. Renaud discovered the issue in a search function on the website and all it took to find SSNs was to press F12 and view the website’s HTML through the developer console....

On top of just recently updating its At Bat 13 iOS app for Spring Training with a ton of new features, MLB announced at an event last night in New York that it will increase the number of stadiums accepting Passbook this season. According to a report from GigaOm, the number of stadiums accepting tickets through Apple’s wallet app will increase from just four to 13: CEO of MLB’s Advanced Media Office Bob Bowman told GigaOm that iOS users currently make up approximately 70 percent of all At Bat users and around 85 percent of paid subscribers....
