Microsoft is taking on Apple’s own camera app with an iOS app it claims is smarter. Microsoft Pix has no user controls, but is instead controlled by AI software, which attempts to work out what you are photographing and automatically adjust the settings to give the best results. It also automatically enhances your photos, and shows you the before-and-after to allow you to pick the version you prefer. TNW and Recode have been testing it, and both seem impressed....

Like every other Pixar movie – especially the truly great ones – Monsters, Inc. is a movie that hits you right in the feels. There are plenty of rib-tickling moments, and just as many tear-jerking moments, as the movie humanizes a couple of monsters. Mike and Sulley achieved a palpable on-screen chemistry, despite being animated, because Billy Crystal and John Goodman unconventionally chose to record their lines together, rather than separately....

Microsoft says it’s the most substantial revolution the smartphone will encounter and honestly, we can’t argue with that given how far they’ve come with their universal platform agenda. Touting them as “Cellular PCs”, Microsoft has been able to employ the x86 code found with the Windows 10 on the mobile ARM architecture. In layman’s terms, this will essentially allow using the traditional desktop operating system as well as software on mobile processors....

Windows 10 RS4 Preview Build 17046 There are a few new improvements to Microsoft Edge to note, like the ability to save form information such as your address, email, and phone number. Any form of data you save can be synced between other Windows 10 devices. Also, in Reading View, you have the ability to adjust the text spacing in an article or blog. New improvements to the Windows Shell include advanced access to UWP app options directly from the Start menu....

Will these servicing changes also apply to Windows 10? If not, I think Microsoft is taking a big risk, as businesses which typically don’t want multiple new features delivered willy-nilly may dig in their heels and hold off moving to Windows 11 as long as possible (if ever). How will these changes, if and when they happen, affect the period of time for which Microsoft will offer support for various Windows releases?...

The division’s head, Joe Belfiore, recently confirmed what everyone sort of already knew by putting the final nail in the coffin. In a series of tweets, Belfiore stated the company is shifting focus away from Windows Phone (or Windows 10 Mobile, if you care) and as a result, users should not expect any features. So What’s Next? Windows 10 October 2020 Update (20H2) As always, Microsoft is throttling the availability of the update at first to ensure there are no widespread issues when updating to the latest release. So, not everyone will get it right away. The update will first be made available to customers on supported devices running Windows 10 version 1903 or higher. It won’t be automatically installed you will need to go to Windows Update to manually install the update....

AiTM sounds like bad news as the phishing sites can skip authentication on sites even when the user has enabled multi-factor authentication (MFA). The attack involves hijacking a user’s sign-in session, and using stolen credentials and session cookies to access victims’ email for business email compromise (BEC) fraud. MFA is one of the key ways organizations can protect themselves from phishing and credential theft attacks. Minecraft Earth was unveiled back in early 2019 and some of the first gameplay was shown off at WWDC 2019 before launching in November that year. Microsoft will be making its Office 365 more flexible come this fall as it replaces the current 10 device limit for Home and two device limit for Personal subscriptions with unlimited device use.
